INTA Open International 2017

The 18th I.N.T.A. Open International I.T.F. Taekwondo Tournament will be held on 4 & 5 February 2017.

The venue is the Gormanston Park Sports complex, Co.Meath

The competition will be run under I.T.F. rules, with divisions for male and female, senior and junior, colour belt and black belt.

All junior colour belts up to 15 years will partake on Saturday 4 February. All competitors of 16 years and older and all junior black belts will partake on Sunday 5 February.

Northern Ireland Taekwon-Do Championships

As organisers of the INTA Open and National tournaments we are very happy with the great attendance from Leo Maguire Northern Ireland's schools. They have invited us to come over to partake in their tournaments. The next one will be held in Bangor on Sunday 25 September 2016.

Carl McGrath


Contratulations to INTA student Carl McGrath on winning the ISKA US Open at the weekend in Orlando, Folorida.

Carl had three tough bouts to secure the win. He also finished second in the points fighting division, scoring maximum points in his first three bouts before losing narrowly to his american opponent by 6 points to 5.

Summer Blackbelt Grading

2.jpg The Irish National Taekwon-Do Association (INTA) held our 2016 black belt summer grading on Sunday the 12th June in City West Hotel, Dublin.  The grading was divided into two groups, those presenting for 1st degree and those for 2nd degree and above. 

The 1st degree examiner panel was chaired by Master Terry Donnelly (VII) with Mr. Christy Fagan, Mr. Matthew Troy, Mr. Raymond Connor and Ms. Lenka Marsikova making up the rest of the panel members.  The panel grading those for higher degrees consisted of Master Brendan O’Toole (chair), Master Val Douglas and Master Gerry Martin.
