Join The INTA
The INTA is a dynamic and progressive organisation focused on the promotion of Taekwon-Do within Ireland. Affiliated to the International Taekwon-Do Federation, the INTA contribute to International events including European and World Championships, International Courses and European and World Congresses.
Grand Master Brendan O’Toole (IX), president of the association, is a longstanding member of the ITF and has been on numerous AETF and ITF Boards. Grand Master O’Toole, in conjunction with the INTA Board, assists instructors in developing and promoting their clubs through in-club Master Classes, Technical Seminars and Instructor Courses to mention but a few.
As an association, we run two National competitions each year, in addition to a number of localised tournaments. The INTA International Open, our two day flagship event, attracts competitors and umpires from all over Europe and also serves as a selection tournament for a number of European competitors.
In addition to this, the event is host to numerous special guests and offers both instructors and students the chance to meet with friends and develop relationships with other Taekwon-Do practitioners. The INTA National Championship, a one day event held in September, has gone from strength to strength with numbers attending increasing by over 50% over the past 3 years.
Support and development is a primary focus of the INTA and as an organisation the INTA help support any instructor who wishes to improve or develop their skill set. Support is offered to instructors in attending International Umpire Courses and other developmental courses on a regular basis. The INTA are very proud of the achievements of their instructors and where possible, support instructors to achieve their personal goals.
